RAD founder and active member Pia Schaefer received the 14 mindfulness trainings this June during the Order of Interbeing retreat. By doing so Pia joins the Order of Interbeing, the core community of Plum Village in which lays and monastics come together. Our teacher Thay founded the Wake Up movement to support young people (18-35) to practice mindfulness and nourish their deep needs. His Message to the Youth is a beautiful distillation of his wisdom and relevant for all of us. The Wake Up movement today is a strong and vital arm of the Plum Village body, with hundreds of sanghas across the globe. We were able to support 14 queer siblings to go on retreats, deepen their practice and bring joy back to their local communities. You can read some of their sharings down below.
